Meet Civil Miller-Watkins.
Civil is a Tennessee Level 5 eighth-grade math teacher and the educator behind Take Two Tutoring. She holds degrees in Sociology and Social Work, along with a Master’s in Education. Families work directly with Civil, building a consistent partnership around each student’s strengths, current classwork and next steps.
Her perspective is shaped by life both inside and outside the classroom. Civil homeschooled all eight of her children for more than 12 years; three graduated from homeschool and five graduated from public school. She also served five years on her county’s school board.
Civil’s varied educational experience helps her see the whole student—and create focused support that builds the confidence and proficiency needed for the next level.
